The Weekly Urchin Recap

Arguably the best holiday of the year is almost upon us, and it’s just not Halloween until you have a pumpkin. So yesterday called for a trip to a local pick-your-own pumpkin patch. Luckily for both the ambiance and my pumpkin-patch-going pals, rain clouds loomed ominously overhead, and unleashed a holiday-appropriate drizzle about thirty minutes into the fun. Otherwise, I could have easily spent hours roaming the fields in search of the perfect pumpkin. In the end, I brought home a friendly, globular jack-o’-lantern-to-be, who is currently awaiting his All Hallows’ Eve fate.

That’s a lot of pumpkins!!! In addition to Jack-O’s, makes me hungry for pies and bread and soup! On Nov 1st, would be good to remember that pumpkins are food!
